“Find me a Good Horse and I will show you a good trainer"
Joe’s Edge wins the Scottish Grand National Beckermet winning at Chester

Horses make trainers. And finding the right one is the key to success. At Great Head House we have a success rate better than most. Twenty five years of success in fact. We have the knack of finding the right horses for the right price. Remember Ekbalco? Remember Lak Lustre? Corporal Clinger, Run and Skip, Jinxy Jack, Tedburrow, Joe’s Edge ? – to name but a few. We have been doing it year in and year out. Last year’s multiple winner Beckermet (Second Empire), officially rated 100 was bought for just £8,600 and we’re aiming high with him in 2005.

2005 with Roger Fisher

Statistics suggest 1 in 27 horses bought at public auction win. We do much better than that.

This year we have new horses by Mull of Kintyre, Indian Lodge, Shinko Forest, Fayruz, Beckett and others.

Horse ownership is simpler than it’s ever been and we have a means of ownership that’s right for every interest, including sole ownership, partnerships, syndicates and corporate schemes.

With Roger Fisher you can acquire made horses, dual purpose horses and two year olds from established sires and new sires. No other yard works like us. Find out how. Everything you need to know about racehorse ownership and the benefits of the Fisher approach are here on this website.

A great 2004

22 winners from 16 runners is a record for any trainer to be proud of. This year with a stable of 27 we think we can continue the good record.

Would you like to be part of the Roger Fisher success story?

Toni Alcala (Ezzoud) winner of 7 races and over £50,000 in prize money stays in training as a 6 year old. This tough, consistent stayer has been placed 4th or better more than 30 times! A career over timber is next for him. We’re looking at him as one of the leading dual purpose horses in the country.

Stoic Leader (Danehill Dancer) winner of 12 races stays in training as a five year old. A genuine and honest racehorse who loves racing and loves winning. He is schooled and ready to move onto a hurdling career and will make into a leading recruit for the winter game at a high level.
